you can't really tell how much you like something until you're far enough away from it to miss it. that probably the most true thing about my life right now. i think i am going to spend the weekend in front of a photocopier doing dangerous things.

i've had this romantic idea to live on the streets for a year, to see what it is like, i'm always asking myself, how hard is it really? if it ever materializes into something, i'll still try to write you a letter now and then. i assume even that will be difficult.

hey, its been a while. my summer was pretty boss. I had an art show that someone took pictures of when I asked them "can you take pictures of my show?"

thanks to katharine for the pictures, and to alex for being a total champion and throwing it together without me there; it was a blast. head over to wolfonstilts to catch a really nice article about art in hamilton, the guy who wrote it was even nice enough to mention us.

alex and i also plan on throwing a book together, showcasing the things you see here, and possible some extras. it won't be ready until christmas, but it will be there in time for you enjoy with a cup of nog.

Saw a book made by these guys in Magic Pony. Team Macho is all about manhood and the totally amazing universe. i think. at any rate these guys are some great local talent and they have a really rad backyard.

leftovers from a project I completed at the beginning of the year. I was taught to mess around with photocopiers and I can safely say that I am not finished with these two or the photocopy bit. if you can, make sure to stare into the green light as the machine does its job. the colour is brilliant, straight from star wars or any other science fiction movie that involves lasers of multiple colours. I wonder how many times I can get away with looking at it before tumors black out my vision.
I always picture insanity as being a struggle to control every emotional outburst your brain fires off. that's why people shout out during movies, emotions don't have to be based on real events.

i'm not sure if shrapnel 'rhymes' with 'happening', but its still a wicked nickname. there's not much of a story behind this one, usually people just look at the word cock and either laugh or get a wierd look on their face. I'm also a big sucker for messy hand-made works. If you fuck up something digital then its because you are poop at using a computer, but if you fuck up an analog work, then you have a heart.

Kicking things off with a little co-la-bo-ration. I've never seen a spray marker kit, but I've seen what it can do. A few of my friends are into some really cool lines. Some call it metal. Here's my contribution, and if there is a band-wagon, I'm riding shotgun.
